Background

The COVID19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the daily operations and strategic goals of civil society organisations and the non-profit sector. At the same time, many funders and donors have responded by shifting priorities towards emergency funds and short-term needs.

As vaccines are being rolled out across Europe, it is time to reflect and prepare for what is coming next. The return to what has been before is unlikely.

So how can organisations prepare and strategise for the transition to the post-COVID19 world?

The interactive online discussion panel aims to open a dialogue between donor organisations and activists, civil society and change-making organisations on working together to meet future challenges effectively.

The expert presentations aim to build capacity within civil society to help them prepare and manage the transition successfully.

Organised with the support of the European Youth Forum and Citizens for Europe.

Hi Jeffrey, this event is mainly about foundations and non-profit projects and organisations, rather than public subsidies for business. With regards, Team of European Activism Incubator

Congratulations. I would appreciate if you could send me any kind of support connections with a Latin American NGO.

I am a member of the Caravan Foundation for Peace and the Restoration of Mother Earth.

    Hugs

Dear Juan, thank you! As we are based in Europe, we do not have an extensive network in that part of the world. We know that the Open Society Foundation and the Oak Foundation are active in the region. Let’s leave this message hanging here though, perhaps someone will see it who can comment with more information.

Great Event, well run and very useful and timely for us. We are immature and inexperienced at funding bids and now urgently trying to learn as our organisation and capability has mushroomed with a volunteer spine. We were in the breakout with Laura Bernard and would like 2 things: Examples of funding bids (confidentially) AND help to identify other organisations we might joint bid with. We are focussed on the legislation for the EU green deal and enabling citizens to engage directly in meaningful and ongoing relationships with legislators.

Dear James, We are glad you’ve enjoyed the event. Could you please drop us an email with this request and also add some background information on your organisation, and what type of project activities you’d like to get involved in as a project partner? We will take a look and see if there is anything we can help with.
