“Never take freedom for granted” by Zoe Popovici
The short film “Never take your freedom for granted” was created by Zoe Popovici as part of the ‘Find Your Voice’ project 2018/19.
Zoe Popovici is one of the youngest participants of the ‘Find Your Voice’ project. She came with a fascination with film-making and wanted to do something that reflected on its power.
After many rounds of considerations on her script, she pivoted and decided to interview her father about why he emigrated from Romania during the socialist era. Through this, at 16 years of age, she brings an important message to her generation: never take your freedom for granted.
Starring her father Andrei Popovic.

27.05.2019 at 06:15Thank you for this important testimony on this day when we see populism rising all over Europe. Nothing is ever acquired but nothing is ever completely lost. It is a democratic vigilance that is constantly required of us. We are not sufficiently aware of how lucky we are to live in democracies where there is freedom of thought, speech and movement. Congratulations Zoe for choosing this important subject.
