Do you have an idea for an impact business, social enterprise or non-profit project?
Entrepreneurship Essentials for Women is an intensive hands-on training that supports the development of entrepreneurial ambitions. It is designed for individuals and teams developing an idea for an impact business, social enterprise or a non-profit project.
Why this training?
Direct, hands-on learning
In our unique training programme, the participants work directly on an impact project they wish to launch. In this way, an aspiring entrepreneur learns new concepts and tools through the immediate application of ideas from tutoring sessions and take-home assignments.
Tailor-made and responsive
The training is designed to be highly responsive. The tutor continuously tailors the module content to participants’ needs for knowledge and skills that emerge, as they work on their project, initiative or business idea.
This markedly differs from a majority of classroom and online-based business and entrepreneurship courses, which teach a variety of principles that may or may not be relevant to a specific project, context, background or situation.
Instant progress
Former participants have underlined how this highly responsive design provided an opportunity to gain a lot of knowledge and progress their projects significantly in a condensed time.
Participation sets in motion women’s enterprising capabilities, as they learn methodologies to develop an impact business or a non-profit project. They learn what elements to consider in the planning and launch stages, which increases their chances of succeeding.
“What I liked the most was the individual approach – we were discussing our plans, not an abstract example. What is more, we worked on a plan for the business that matches our investment possibilities in terms of both time and finances.”
“Before starting this training we expected some ready-made solutions on how to arrange business. The tutor adapted the content of the training to our needs but at the same time we acquired knowledge that we’d be able to easily apply to other projects, which is I think a great bonus.”
“The tutor gave us confidence, with strong experience and masterful skill to lead the attendees. The training gave us a structure to think our idea through. We had many “aha” moments. It also showed us possible risks.”

FORMAT
The training is provided to a single project team, which can comprise 1 to 5 future (co-)founders. The sessions focus on a single project the participants bring to and develop throughout the course.
Each module comprises three intensive 1.5h sessions. They are scheduled 2-3 weeks apart, while the participants carry out take-home assignments individually or through group work. These tasks ensure progress and effective preparation for the following sessions. The training schedule can be adapted to the availability of each team.
Participants are encouraged to enrol to one Module at a time and evaluate further participation based on their results and conclusions. Modules can also be taken separately, however, if a participant skips Module 1, one additional introductory session needs to take place upon enrolling to Modules 2, 3, 4.
The training is in English and can be provided online or in-person (Brussels, Belgium).
For and non-profit impact projects are eligible.
